Sammi met Brooke in her freshman year of high school in West Virginia. They have been inseparable ever since, even with moves for Sammi to college in Florida and law school and life in Kansas City. Brooke's daughter, Mia, is Sammi's Mini Bestie just like her mom.

Sammi met Morgan in her freshman year of college in at Stetson University in DeLand, Florida. Morgan became a fixture in Sammi's life, her longest roommate, and dear friend helping her through anything that came her way in college and law school and after.

Sammi met Taylor in her first year of law school at UMKC. Taylor was her very first friend in law school and deserves the credit for Sammi meeting Spencer. Along with Taylor's fiance, Joe, who is Spencer's Best Man, the three UMKC grads love to go out on double dates around KC.

Lexi is Spencer's younger sister. Sammi is an only child and she looks forward to having a sister-in-law as kind and bubbly as Lexi.

Ellie is Sammi's younger cousin. She and her younger sister, Kate, have been two of Sammi's favorite things about moving to KC and feeling welcome. Ellie is Sammi's closest cousin in age and she is Cory and Carie's, the Officiants', oldest daughter.

Kate is Ellie's younger sister and Sammi's younger cousin. Kate and Ellie standing beside Sammi also represent Sammi's cousin/the Officiant, Cory, having been part of Sammi's parents' wedding.

Carly is Sammi's younger cousin. Her mom is Sammi's first cousin, Niki, and Cory's sister. Carly is the older sister of the two flower girls, Brooklynn and Blaykely.

Brooklynn is one of the two flower girls, alongside her twin sister, Blaykely. Carly is the twins' older sister.

Blaykely is one of the flower girls, alongside her twin sister, Brooklynn. Carly, their older sister, and the twins standing beside Sammi also represents their mom, Niki, having been part of Sammi's parents' wedding.

Spencer met Joe in high school, along with Groomsman Fletcher, in Springfield, Missouri, but Spencer and Joe really got close in college, joining the same fraternity, Sigma Nu. The two have been the best of friends since they began spending time together. This continued when Spencer moved to Kansas City for law school and Joe joined Taylor, Joe's fiance and Sammi's bridesmaid, in KC in 2022. The two couples love that their best friends make the best double dates.

Spencer met Fletcher in high school in Springfield, MO at the same time as he met Joe, his best man. Fletcher and Spencer became friends through their mutual friend, Joe. Spencer and Fletcher lived together, along with Cole, for a year when Fletcher moved to Kansas City, also for law school at UMKC.

Spencer met Cole when he was joining Sigma Nu. Cole was a year ahead of Spencer in college at Missouri State and he became Spencer's roommate when he left the dorms. After they had both graduated, Spencer and Cole were roommates while Spencer attended UMKC law in Kansas City. Cole is Groomsman Ryan's cousin.

Spencer met Isaac through his sister, Lexi, when they began dating and he became part of their family when Isaac moved to Springfield.

Spencer met Mitchel during rush for their fraternity, Sigma Nu. The two joined the same pledge class, along with Best Man Joe and Groomsmen Garrett and Matt.

Spencer met Garrett when joining Sigma Nu in college at Missouri State. They lived in the fraternity house together and he was in the same pledge class as Spencer along with Best Man Joe and Groomsmen Matt and Mitchel. Garrett also served as Treasurer for the fraternity while Spencer served as President.

Spencer met Ryan through Groomsman Cole when he moved to Kansas City for law school and the three were roommates for the first two of three years that Spencer was in law school. Ryan and Cole are cousins. The three would often have roommate dinners at their favorite spot, Texas Roadhouse.

Spencer met Paul originally through his brother, but when Spencer was 15, he was a lifeguard while Paul was the manager. The two started spending time together outside of work and have remained close since then. Their families have also been close for a long time, so the friendship extends to their parents as well.

Spencer met Matt in college and joined Sigma Nu together, along with Best Man Joe and Groomsmen Garrett and Mitchel. They lived in the fraternity house together and in an off-campus, which the fraternity nicknamed "The Garage," until Spencer moved back to the fraternity house to serve as President.

Cory is Sammi's cousin, Carie's husband and Ellie and Kate's father. He also attended UMKC law and has been a role model for Sammi and Spencer for both career and family life since Sammi moved to Kansas City and later when Spencer met the Fishers. Sammi and Spencer wanted to have someone perform their ceremony who knew them well and asked the person they feel will make the ceremony not only meaningful but memorable, finding that in Cory.

Carie, Cory's wife and Ellie and Kate's mother, will be the officiant performing the Unity Ceremony. Sammi and Spencer felt that Carie would be the best person to conduct the ceremonial joining of two into one with a unique ceremony because many of the qualities the couple admire about Cory in requesting him as the Officiant, would not be seen without his other half, Carie. Carie brings the family together in many ways and Sammi and Spencer appreciate that Carie is the one to bring them together in their ceremony as well.
